Reversing can be one of the most difficult manoeuvres drivers can face on a regular basis, no matter where you look you will always be faced with blind spots. Your mirrors can’t show you the whole picture and awkwardly turning round in your seat might mean looking over screaming kids or potentially just get a dog staring back at you, and you still wouldn’t know what’s behind you. This can be an even bigger danger in larger vehicles where you might not necessarily have a rear-view mirror to look through, Trucks may find their load in the way while motorhome and campervan users struggle with seeing past their living space.

Motorhome users struggle with reversing so much that many take regular lessons to learn how to properly manoeuvre their enormous vehicles. And those interested in purchasing a motorhome are regularly recommended to have some lessons. Currently at the Caravan Camping and Motorhome Show there are a variety of courses taking place to help drivers get to grips with their new motorhome. C2 Vision of course offer a full range of kits that can assist motorhome and campervan drivers with their reversing procedures, including the fantastic GRV90MKT high resolution mirror monitor and live stream camera kit.

720P HD dash cam

With reverse, live streaming and recording capabilities, the Gator GRV90MKT provides the ultimate surveillance and protection for the rear of your vehicle. Featuring a super wide 9″ high resolution touch display and FULL HD 1080P camera, the mirror monitor simply clips over the existing rear-view mirror on the vehicle for convenient unobtrusive viewing. While driving, the mirror monitor will simply appear as a standard reflective mirror and also has the ability to live stream, displaying what is behind the vehicle in real time, which is ideal for campervans and motorhomes which may have limited rear vision. When reverse gear is selected, the monitor will automatically switch to the reverse camera and display parking gridlines to provide guidance when reversing. GRV90MKT also has a built in G-Sensor and loop records, simply add a Class 10 micro-SD card up to 64GB to the unit and it will capture any incidents or events that may occur at the rear of the vehicle.

The Caravan Camping and Motorhome show is in full swing over at the NEC, Birmingham. Running from the 22/02 to the 27/02 the show is the highlight of the year for enthusiasts across the UK. The growing popularity of caravanning since the Covid19 pandemic has led this years show to be one of the biggest ever with over 300 exhibitors.

The influx of new caravanners has resulted in many more inexperienced towers taking to the roads this year. So much so that the Camping and Caravanning Club will be holding FREE Towing Tuition every day at the show! These one-to-one sessions are perfect for newcomers or those who want to brush up on their towing skills under the guidance of a trained instructor.

One of the most challenging aspects of owning a caravan that new members of the community will have to contend with is reversing, something that can still be a struggle even for more seasoned caravaners. Thankfully for those who do have trouble we offer a fantastic full kit that not only fits a reversing camera to your car but also to your caravan as well, allowing you to see exactly where your rig is heading in real time.

720P HD dash cam

The GX5TRKT is a complete reverse camera solution for towing a caravan, trailer or horse box, comes supplied with two cameras, as well as trailer connection and extension cables. Not only that the kit also includes a super bright 5” monitor which compared to rival reversing monitors, the GX5TRKT offers a far brighter image with superior picture quality. Once installed in your caravan the camera provides a clear image to the monitor even at night thanks to the 8 infra-red LEDs giving the camera a substantial low light viewing distance.

Commercial Vehicles and transport are the lifeblood of the UK, transporting goods day and night along Britain’s roads. Long gone are the days of the white van man in a rusty Ford Transit speeding through UK streets in a rush to his next delivery. Nowadays, the growth of fleet distributors and delivery services has led to a more professional environment involving increased focus on efficiency and safety. Not only has the business gradually improved including the drivers and fleet management but the vehicles have also greatly improved.

Dash Cams

Modern commercial vehicles are equipped with the latest technologies such as reversing cameras, Dash Cams, DVRs and parking sensors along with much more. This leads to increased safety for both commercial van drivers and the surrounding passenger vehicles. Along with having the added effect of faster delivery times and improved route management aimed at reducing emissions.

But it doesn’t just have to be newer vehicles that can benefit from the increased safety and efficiency given by modern technology. Our range of safety tech products consists of both vehicle specific and universal items suitable for almost any vehicle.

Our selection of dash cams allows a direct record usable as evidence in the event of an accident, providing additional safety and security for drivers. Our reversing cameras give drivers additional visibility of the rear of the vehicle, particularly useful on vans lacking centre rear view mirrors. Introducing increased visibility can make manoeuvring into tight spaces an easier process, especially with the addition of dynamic parking lines including with many of our reversing cameras.

Reversing Cameras

If you’re worried about the size of your camera ruining the clean lines of your van, don’t worry, we offer a variety of vehicle specific cameras that replace the original third brake light with a camera light combo, or even a boot handle replacement, which also conveniently incorporates a reversing camera into the boot handle, both of these options allow you to increase the visibility in the vehicle whilst retaining the original vehicle aesthetics. In a similar vein to our reversing cameras, our Parking Sensor systems provide an audible tone when reversing to give an increased knowledge of your surroundings when reversing.

If you would like more information on our entire range of vehicle safety technology currently available feel free to get in touch with our team, who will be more than happy to help.
